ASHLAND - A woman from Sanborn in Northern Ashland County has accomplished something that very few people in the world would attempt and set a world record doing it. Bridget McCutchen has been certified by the Guiness Book of Records as the youngest person to ride around the world in a motorcycle. McCutcheon began her adventure with her riding partner Kiva Carmen-Frank in August of 2022 and finished her 24,000-mile trip through 45 countries on four continents. Quite an achievement for someone who had never left the U.S. before and who only had a couple of years’ experience riding a motorcycle. She credits the help of her riding partner and many folks back home in Ashland with keeping her going through a sometimes-arduous journey.
