MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new lawsuit challenges Wisconsin's congressional district maps, claiming they are unconstitutional due to anti-competitive gerrymandering. The lawsuit filed by the Wisconsin Business Leaders for Democracy argues that the maps stifle electoral competition. The lawsuit comes two weeks after the state Supreme Court refused to hear two similar redistricting cases. Republicans hold six of Wisconsin's eight U.S. House seats, but only two of the GOP districts are considered competitive. Wisconsin Democrats held a 5-3 advantage in 2010, before Republicans redrew the congressional maps.
