BAYFIELD - A large American flag displayed on Bayfield’s Iron Bridge was stolen, according to Bayfield mayor.  The flag was donated by veterans from the local American Legion and had been hanging from the bridge in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday.  Bayfield Mayor Lyn Cornelius posting on Facebook on July 4 “To see it treated with such disrespect is incredibly disheartening.”  Bayfield Police are investigating the theft.
