IRONWOOD - AAA of Michigan reports the state average gas price is down 3 cents from a week ago to $3.26 per gallon.  That is 13 cents more than at this time last month, it is still 42 cents less than this time last year. Nationally, drivers are paying an average of $3.19 per gallon.  Gas prices will likely face upward pressure as demand increases ahead of the holiday.  Last year for the 4th of July travel period gas prices averaged $3.60 per gallon.  Around Upper Michigan, the lowest average is in Marquette County at $2.99. The highest average is in Mackinac County at $3.43.  Ironwood prices at $3.03 per gallon this morning.
