UPPER MICHIGAN - There will be two public input sessions about the possible designation of the Western U.P. as the Copper Country National Heritage Area. The Department of Natural Resources Office of Public Lands and Michigan History Center are working together to get public input on the possibility of a National Heritage Area designation that would cover part of Ontonagon, Keweenaw and Houghton counties, including Isle Royale. The public input session will take place at Michigan Tech on July 9th. For more information, contact the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
