BAYFIELD COUNTY - Communities in Northern Wisconsin and along the North Shore of Minnesota dealing with the aftermath of heavy rain from Tuesday night.  The Cornucopia received 4.25 inches of rain Tuesday night according to the National Weather Service.  That high rainfall caused underground pipes to burst and road closures, including a section of Highway 13 between Cornucopia and Herbster.  That section of road re-open last night.  Meyers Beach, located 17 miles west of Bayfield off Highway 13, can only be accessed from the west at this time due to washed out roads.  Because of flooding on Hwy. 13, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is temporarily lifting the 20-ton weight restriction on the local detour in the city of Washburn.  On the North Shore some areas saw as much as 7 inches of rain over the course of only a few hours causing washed out roads and flooding issues.
