GOGEBIC / VILAS COUNTY - A man from Eagle River was sentenced yesterday in Gogebic County Court after pleading guilty to delivery of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. In December of last year, the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team started an investigation into Justin James O’Dell with the help of a confidential informant. GIANT was able to make purchases of meth from O’Dell. A GPS tracking unit was used to monitor O’Dell’s activities in Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. When returning to Gogebic County from Iowa, law enforcement initiated a traffic stop and arrested O’Dell. He admitted to selling drugs in order to be able to get back to his home in Eagle River. He could serve anywhere from 4 to 20 years in prison.
