IRONWOOD - The Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees held a special meeting to  accept the resignation of Chad Lashua, Vice President of Business Services, effective June 30, 2025 and thank him for his services to Gogebic Community College. Stephanie Innes, Director of Finance, was authorized and fully empowered to make financial transactions on behalf of the College.   In other action, the trustees approved the Hazing Prevention, Reporting, and Investigation Policy to ensure institutional compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and relevant state and federal regulations. This policy establishes a comprehensive framework for the prevention, reporting, and resolution of hazing incidents, thereby safeguarding the safety, rights, and well-being of all students at Gogebic Community College.  The Board also approved a Voluntary Separation Agreement (VSA) package as a strategic cost-saving measure for the college. The VSA would offer eligible employees – typically those near retirement or with long-term service – an incentive to voluntarily separate from the college by a specified date. The intent of this package is to create long-term budget relief by reducing ongoing salary and benefit obligations. Participants would receive a one-time financial benefit, structured over three years to encourage participation while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
