MINOCQUA - Minocqua Brewing Company has now filed suit against the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, alleging it was improperly blocked from selling Illinois-brewed beer after agents seized 1,200 cans over about $500 in unpaid excise taxes. Owner Kirk Bangstad says the seizure threatens the brewery during the busy summer tourism season and claims the action is politically motivated.
