IRONWOOD - Other than some tense moments, as seen in a Superior Chronicles News Facebook video, “NO KINGS” protests at Depot Park in downtown Ironwood were peaceful earlier today.  Saturday’s protest in Ironwood included a few of the millions of people across the country that went out in cities and towns across the Country to protest President Donald Trump’s administration.  The protests were organized by the 50501 organization. The name stands for fifty states, fifty protests, one movement.  The anti-Trump rallies coincide with the President’s 79th birthday, as well as the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.  The protest in Ironwood was one of seven across the UP. along with protests in Ashland, Minocqua, Eagle River and Park Falls in Northern Wisconsin.  No reports of any arrests regarding the Ironwood protests or with any of the other protests in the UP or Northern Wisconsin.
