VILAS COUNTY - Tourism in Vilas County had another record year! Visitors spent $302.6 million in Vilas County in 2024, according to figures just released by the state Department of Tourism. That figure marks a $1.8 million growth in the county and outpaces the previous record spending of $300.8 million in 2023.  Tourism is Vilas County’s largest industry, supporting 2,105 jobs last year, and Vilas County businesses benefitted from total business sales just shy of $383 million, up 0.6% from 2023.
