N. WISCONSIN - The Wisconsin Elections Commission ruled that Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad will not appear on the 2026 Wisconsin gubernatorial ballot. Bangstad submitted nomination signatures last week, but only about 1,500 were deemed valid, short of the 2,000 required. He filed corrective affidavits to fix errors on some nomination papers, including incorrect election dates, before the deadline. After a review on Tuesday, the commission determined the signature threshold was not met and officially denied his ballot access.
