ASHLAND / BAYFIELD COUNTIES - Ashland and Bayfield County residents affected by recent storms may qualify for up to $1,000 in housing assistance through the Realtors Relief Foundation for rent, mortgage, or temporary lodging costs. Additional aid includes USDA disaster grants and low-interest loans for home repairs, as well as Housing Preservation Grants through Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity. Local support is available through Head of the Lakes United Way, the Red Cross, and The BRICK Ministries, which provide emergency assistance to help residents remain housed. Eligible property owners may also receive Wisconsin Fund grants to repair or replace failing private wastewater systems.
