ASHLAND - A family has been displaced from their home after a house fire in Ashland over the weekend.  Ashland Fire crews were called to the home on 11th Ave West and 3rd at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Two people were home at the time of the fire and were able to get themselves out of the house.  One pet was saved, while others died in the fire. No word on how many.  Crews were on scene for two and a half hours performing an extensive overhaul of interior walls and ceilings to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished.  The Salvation Army provided lodging for two nights as well as clothing and food vouchers.  The Red Cross has also been contacted to assist the family.  No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
