IRON COUNTY – The Iron County Sheriff’s office is warning residents of a text message scam affecting Iron County residents.  The message says basically that you have unpaid driving citations that need to be paid immediately, or your vehicle registration will be suspended, and your operating privileges will also be suspended unless you click on a link and pay now.  The Sheriff’s office says DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!  If you receive the message, delete it from your phone and block the number.  The court system or the DMV will never notify you by text message if there is an issue.
