HOUGHTON COUNTY - One person is dead after a suspected accidental drowning in Lake Superior in Houghton County yesterday.  The MSP Calumet Post responded at approximately 9:30 a.m. yesterday to a reported body in Lake Superior near McLain State Park and the break wall leading to the Keweenaw Waterway Upper Entrance Lighthouse. The body of a 57-year-old man from Hancock was subsequently located by divers from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.  Investigators says the preliminary investigation indicates this was an accidental drowning that occurred earlier Wednesday morning. No foul play is suspected. However, the investigation remains ongoing.
