N. WISCONSIN - Liberal activist and brewery owner Kirk Bangstad run for Governor is likely over after Bangstad failed to submit enough valid signatures to qualify for Wisconsin’s gubernatorial ballot, falling short of the 2,000-signature requirement with 1,504 valid signatures. He can appeal and has until Sunday, the 7th, to restore challenged signatures. Bangstad, who launched his campaign in May, gained national attention following an FBI and Secret Service interview over a social media post about President Donald Trump. He argues he is still eligible pending the signature review process. Bangstad is known for his politically themed brewery, activism, and previous unsuccessful runs for public office.
