LAKE SUPERIOR - Nearly 60 years after a small plane disappeared over the Great Lakes, its fate remains a mystery. Research engineer Travis White says they found mostly trees, logs and rocks. The plane carrying three people departed from Madison, Wisconsin, to collect data from Lake Superior and was never heard from again.
