LAC DU FLAMBEAU - The body of 45-year-old Kyle Ascheman, who went missing on Whitefish Lake on the Lac du Flambeau Reservation, was recovered Saturday after a multi-agency search. Authorities began searching Thursday night after his boat was found unmanned and circling on the lake. Sonar equipment from the Wisconsin DNR helped locate the body, and the Oneida County Dive Team recovered him. Numerous tribal, local, county, and state agencies assisted in the search, while victim services provided support to Ascheman’s family.
