ONTONAGON COUNTY - Michigan Department of Transportation crews will begin work to resurface M 26 in Ontonagon County starting Monday. The $6.5 million dollar project will resurface a 5.5-mile stretch of m 26 from us 45 to m 38 in Ontonagon County. The work will include asphalt milling, culvert wing wall replacement, guardrail placement, and other road infrastructure. Crews will alternate the traffic flow with temporary signals in place while drainage work occurs. MDOT has said the work is expected to last through the summer and should finish in October of this year.
