GOGEBIC / ONTONAGON / IRON COUNTIES – The Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park is slowly opening for the season.  Be aware that South Boundary Road that runs through the park remains CLOSED at this time.  Park officials say Presque Isle is day use only for now and trails are now open for hiking, the campgrounds including Union Bay Campground will open for the season on May 15th.  In Iron County Campgrounds at Saxon Harbor, Lake of the Falls, Weber Lake and Schomberg Park open for the season today.
