ASHLAND - Northland College will be the site of this year’s annual Clean sweep event in Ashland, this coming Tuesday, June 4th from 2-6 p.m. The move to the new location aligns with the environmental focus of the college and will allow those dropping off to get a good look at the College’s sustainability features, like solar panels and composing facility. Anyone from Ashland, Price and Bayfield counties can participate in any of nine counties collection events that take place over the course of the summer. The event is free to households for most items and residents can bring their expired or unwanted prescription medications to trade for a donut with an officer from the Ashland Police Department. Go to ashland.extension.wisc.edu for a complete list of what will be accepted at the event or call the Ashland County Extension office.
