BAYFIELD - The Bayfield Fire Department and local EMS services will be hosting a free Community Emergency Awareness Day next Wednesday, the 29th from 9am to noon.

Residents will have the opportunity to attend four short demonstrations, each lasting 10-15 minutes. These sessions will cover essential emergency preparedness topics such as how to use a fire extinguisher, how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator), how to administer CPR, and how to control bleeding. The purpose of these demonstrations is to impart awareness-level knowledge, not to offer full certification. Information will be available to those who are interested in certification. The free event will be held at the Fire and EMS hall. Community partners include Bayfield Recreation and Fitness Resources and the Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau.
