GOGEBIC COUNTY - A $3.4 million box culvert replacement project is planned to start next week for M-64 over Bingham Creek in Gogebic County. Beginning Tuesday, the 26th, drivers should expect single-lane closures controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project is scheduled to continue through mid-October. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the project will support about 29 jobs. MDOT said the structure has reached the end of its service life and will be replaced with a larger concrete culvert to improve roadway safety and extend the life of the roadway.
