IRONWOOD - The Ironwood School District will soon have some new faces.

The school board approved the hiring of K-12 school counselor Corey Kivisto, who will replace Auburn Powell, effective April 28; substitute teacher Shane Wyzlic; and substitute paraprofessional Thomas Sams. Paraprofessional Courtney Oja also was approved for rehiring. Also at that meeting, a few departures were announced, including paraprofessional Brianne Bastman, cheerleading coach Mercy Craig, and substitute food service worker Mary Yurchak. There are still open positions in the Ironwood School District, including a number of teaching and coaching positions as well as paraprofessionals and food service. More information can be found at ironwoodschools.org.
