IRONWOOD - The Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board says Denver Air Connection plans to re-bid next year to continue serving the airport. While no route changes are planned now, officials discussed possible future destinations if passenger numbers decline, including replacing Minneapolis flights with service to Detroit. Airport Manager Jeremy Busch also said a proposed hangar installation could cost about $650,000, not including plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work. Busch added that the airport’s new flight schedule has had no delays since May 1, and the board welcomed longtime pilot Steve Finco as a new member.
