GOGEBIC COUNTY - The Gogebic County Republican Party issuing a press release yesterday saying that they have rescinded their endorsement of Beau LaFave in the 38th District Senate race.  Gogebic County GOP Chair Joe Cayer saying “Our bylaws are clear: the party does not endorse in races where there are two viable candidates and no incumbent. Dave Prestin is also running and is well qualified. The endorsement was made in haste and is not consistent with our bylaws.”  The 38th Senate District seat is open, as current State Senator Ed McBroom is term limited.
