N. WISCONSIN - The 10th annual Rescue Divas EMS Camp for Girls is accepting applications through Friday, May 29. Scheduled for Aug. 2-6 at CrossWoods Camp in Mason. The residential program introduces 20 northern Wisconsin middle schoolers to emergency medical careers through hands-on training in CPR, first aid, and search and rescue. Launched in 2015 to combat EMT shortages, the camp moved from Northland College to its current location in 2025. Supported by over 20 community volunteers and sponsors, the $50 attendance fee covers only 15% of actual costs. Past participants have successfully entered fields as EMTs, nurses, and 911 dispatchers.
