IRONWOOD - The Friends of the Gogebic County Fair have set the schedule for this year.

The event will take place August 6th through the 9th. Recent additions include the Stateline Drill Team and the Quilt Guild’s “Quilts of Honor” project. The Gogebic Horse Council will provide free fairground upgrades for the Obstacle Challenge and host open practice sessions for a $10 fee. Approved fairground rates for horse boarders are $25 for camping and $20 per stall. Online ticketing will not be offered in 2026 due to administrative costs; entry remains gate-only. However, vendors may now accept card payments via Square, PayPal, or Venmo, with fees paid by attendees. The board is also pursuing a grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture for water infrastructure improvements in the chicken barn, concession stands, and Turn 2 Saloon. Estimates and plans are due by mid-June for the application to the County Board of Commissioners.
