SAXON - Saxon Harbor is one of 15 marinas to be recertified as a Wisconsin Clean Marina, following a decade of rebuilding after a major 2016 storm. While that mid-July storm temporarily paused environmental efforts for reconstruction, the resulting facility upgrades actually simplified the certification process. The voluntary program reduces boating pollution through practices like stormwater management, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling. Additionally, the harbor provides a fish cleaning station and educates the public on aquatic invasive species, benefiting both boaters and the community. Seasonal docks are scheduled for installation on May 12.
