N. WISCONSIN - Over 260 Wisconsin law enforcement agencies will host drug take-back day events this weekend. Attorney General Josh Kaul promoted the initiative, emphasizing that safely disposing of prescription drugs prevents environmental harm, theft, and accidental ingestion—like children accessing medicine cabinets—ultimately helping to keep communities safe. Some police departments offer year-round drop boxes. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services provides an interactive map of take-back locations at dhs.wisconsin.gov & search "drug takeback". Participating drug take pack sites include the Lac Du Flambeau and Minocqua Police Departments along with the Vilas County Sheriff’s office in Eagle River.  Year-round sites include one at the Iron County Sheriffs office in Hurley, The Marshfield Clinic in Mercer, The Bad River Health and Wellness Center in Odanah, The Ashland County Sheriffs office, at the Bayfield County Sheriff’s office among others.
