WINTER / LAC DU FLAMBEAU - One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Sawyer County.  According to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday at around 8:40 a.m., the county’s communication center received a 911 call from an iPhone crash detector stating the owner of the phone was involved in a crash and was not responding.  Deputies then responded to the pinned location, which was on West County Highway B in Winter.  Upon arrival, authorities learned that a 2016 Honda CR-V was traveling eastbound on the highway when the vehicle left the road while negotiating a slight left curve.  The vehicle entered the ditch and struck a driveway, causing it to become airborne.  It overturned several times before hitting several trees.  Authorities have identified the driver as 26-year-old Anjeni Del Real, of Lac du Flambeau.  Del Real was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.  The crash is under investigation.
