IRONWOOD – Flight time changes are being considered at the Gogebic-Iron County Airport. During recent presentation to the Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board, Tonya Ruhsenberger, Denver Air Connection representative, said that new Ironwood flight times will maintain good connections. Jon Coleman, Senior VP of Corporate Strategy, said an overnight stay in Ironwood as part of flight logistics, would allow an early-morning flight if the airport installs a hangar and the airfield is operational by 8 a.m. The board is looking at a pre-designed hanger that will cost around a million dollars. The board will also explore financing options for that facility.
