N. WISCONSIN – As we head into spring, we also head into wildfire season in Wisconsin.  Those wanting to burn yard debris are asked to check burn conditions first.  Weather conditions and moisture play the biggest role in how wildfires start and spread, and conditions can change fast.  Debris burns are the number one cause of wildfires.  Right now, Iron, Ashland, Bayfield and Price Counties are in a Moderate fire risk.  Spring Wildfire Season is from now until May.
