GOGEBIC / ONTONAGON COUNTY - Congressman Jack Bergman (R-1st District) announced Friday that he has filed nominating petitions, confirming that he will be running for reelection ahead of the August 4 primary.  Bergman has served as the Congressman from Michigan’s 1st District which includes Gogebic and Ontonagon County since 2017.  Bergman has received endorsements from President Trump as well as several other Michigan legislators.  Bergman is the first Republican to seek the nomination ahead of this November’s Midterm Elections, while Kyle Blomquist, Callie Barr and Wayne Stiles are among those running for the seat from the Democratic Party.
