CALUMET — The world’s tallest snow gauge stands alongside Highway 41, just north of Calumet is about to reach 300” inches this season.  At 290.5 inches, this year’s snowfall is set to pass last year’s. But it’s still short of the record: a whopping 390 inches in the winter of 1978-79.
