EAGLE RIVER - The 2025 National Pond Hockey Championships will be returning to Eagle River this weekend on Dollar Lake. The lack of cold weather last year led to the event being cancelled. Spectators can come and watch teams from across the country compete on 24 specially marked rinks for the championship. The four-on-four games will be played in two-15 minute halves. The Chantecleer Inn will be open, and the Sno-Eagles Snowmobile Club will handle concessions at the lake. Parking is limited, with some at the Inn and along Dollar Lake Road. There will be no parking near the rink areas, there will also be parking at the Eagle River Ice Arena, with buses shuttling from the arena to the Chanticleer Inn on a limited basis. For more information and the full schedule, go to www.usahockey.com/pondhockey.
