ASHLAND - The request for a bond reduction was filed with the court by the parents of the Ashland teen accused of shooting his brother. In the case of Daniel Wilber, 16, bond had been reduced once before, and this time the request was to lower bond to $100K for his pre-trial release. Attorneys for Wilber’s family say they are looking to sell their property to secure his bond. The prosecution argued that arrangement was risky, and that the violent nature of the crime calls for a higher bond. Judge John Anderson sympathized with the family, but said that as evidence is still being reviewed, he had to decline the request. Daniel Wilber’s next hearing is March 19th.
