N. WISCONSIN - WisDOT is asking drivers to “know before you go” and is changing how they communicate road conditions.  Yesterday, WisDOT announced new winter road condition categories for 511 Wisconsin to better reflect current conditions on roads across the state. The categories are now: Normal, Partially Covered, Completely Covered, Travel Not Advised and No Report.  Officials say the information streamlines the categories and makes it easier for drivers.  Officials say drivers should always expect the unexpected when driving in Wisconsin during the winter.
