IRONWOOD - One week after falling under $3 per gallon for the first time since January, the state gas price average is back above that $3 mark after a 10-cent increase.  According to AAA of Michigan, drivers are now paying an average of $3.04 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. Despite the increase, that price is still 13 cents less than this time last month, but 5 cents more than this time last year. The national average is now 2 cents lower than the state, at $3.02 per gallon.  Around Upper Michigan, the lowest gas price average is in Dickinson County at $2.88 per gallon. The highest is in Mackinac County at $3.23 per gallon.  Ironwood prices at $2.99 per gallon as of this morning.
