WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senator Tammy Baldwin announced she would support former republican congressman Sean Duffy as transportation secretary. President-elect Donald Trump nominated Duffy last month.  In a news release, Baldwin says (in part)  “I look at all of the President’s nominees through the lens of ‘will you be good for Wisconsin.’ For this nominee, I am thinking about the big infrastructure projects in the pipeline to make sure families can get to school and work safely, our water is clean to drink and swim in, and our businesses can get their goods on shelves – and it will be critical to have a Secretary of Transportation who understands the need to see these projects through.  Duffy served as Northern Wisconsin's congressman from 2011 to 2019.
