WAKEFIELD - The Michigan House approved $50 million in fund re-allocation for the Copperwood Mine Project yesterday.    The House appropriations committee approved the transfer with a vote of 17 to 9 with 3 members abstaining. If approved by the Senate appropriations committee, the money will go towards infrastructure improvements on the site such as increasing access, water and wastewater, water quality analysis and increased power reliability.  InvestUP CEO Marty Fittante says local support for this project is between 77% to 89% of residents.  During the meeting, people spoke both in favor and in opposition to the project.
