IRONWOOD – In information released over the weekend back on Saturday, February 21st, GIANT conducted a traffic stop in the City of Ironwood for an equipment violation.  The vehicle contained multiple people entering Michigan from Wisconsin.  Based on the totality of circumstances a search of the vehicle was conducted.  GIANT was able to locate methamphetamine in the vehicle.  As a result of the search, 36-year-old CHELSEY NICOLE KUOPOS of Laurium was taken into custody for felony on charges.  A total of approximately 56 grams of methamphetamine was seized, along with items affiliated with the trafficking and sales of methamphetamine. KUOPOUS is also currently on bond in Houghton County, MI.  KUOPOS, has been charged in Gogebic County for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine in a Park.
