IRONWOOD / BESSEMER – It’s now a little easier to get around downtown Ironwood.  Massive 8- to 10-foot-tall snowbanks left over from last week’s blizzard have been removed.  In Bessemer the Department of Public Works Department began snow removal early this morning from Sophie Street to Mary Street, and around the schools.   Bessemer is winging back of the snowbanks which will continue through the week, which may impact driveways and front yards.  The area picked up 30 to 35 inches of snow over the past week.
