IRONWOOD – Over 1 million people in Michigan have voted early, which could result in shorter liners and shorter waits at the polls today.  Voter registration is acceptable on Election Day, the person registering will need to bring a document with their address like a utility bill, school ID, or government mail to their polling location.  Local contested races include the race for Gogebic County Sherriff between Gabe Justinak and Jorge Cruz.  There are 3 running for 2 seats on the Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees.  Eric Fitting, William Malloy and Michael Meyer are running for those 2 seats.   Gogebic County voters will also find the school millage renewal question on the ballot.  Polls are open now until 8 p.m. tonight.
