GOGEBIC / ONTONAGON COUNTY – The Michigan Gun Deer Season opened on Friday. In the first weekend of the season Gogebic County Hunters harvested 79 Antlered and 1 Antlerless deer for a total of 80 opening weekend. Yesterday an additional 23 antlered and 1 additional antlerless deer were taken by Gogebic County Hunters for a total of 105 deer so far. In Ontonagon County Hunters Harvested 180 Antlered and 6 Antlerless deer for a total of 186 deer opening weekend. Yesterday Ontonagon County Hunters harvested another 55 antlered and 3 antlerless deer for a total of 244 deer so far this Gun Deer Season with plenty of season left to go. The Michigan Gun Deer Season runs until the end of the month. Wisconsin 9-day Gun Deer Season opens on Saturday.
