GOGEBIC / ONTONAGON COUNTIES – The 2025 Firearm Deer Season in Michigan started Saturday.  Since yesterday morning there were 50 antlered and 1 antlerless deer harvested in Gogebic County for a total of 150 so far this season according to the DNR website just before sunrise this morning.  In Ontonagon County corrected updated numbers show 212 antlered and 6 antlerless deer were harvested since the start of the season for a total of 218.  The Michigan gun deer season runs until the end of the month; hunters are reminded to report deer kills to the DNR on their website or through the DNR app.  Wisconsin gun deer season starts on Saturday.
