DEARBORN - The Thanksgiving holiday travel period begins next week. AAA of Michigan expects record-breaking numbers.  2.6 million Michigan residents will travel at least 50 miles from home during this period. That’s up 1.4% from last year.  2.3 million are expected to travel by car, 224,600 will travel by air, while 80,155 will use other methods of transportation, such as a bus, train, or cruise. That’s up 8.4% from 2024.
