ASHLAND - The search for 60-year-old Toni A. Peterson, who was reported missing from her Rice Lake home on Monday ended Friday afternoon after her body was discovered in Ashland. Peterson had left behind her cell phone and a suicidal note at her Woodstone Senior Living apartment, raising concerns among law enforcement and her family. She was originally from the Iron River area, west of Ashland on Highway 2. The Ashland Police Department is investigating Peterson’s death, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
