HURLEY – The city of Hurley will hold a Budget Hearing tonight at 5pm to hear comments on the proposed 2026 budget and tax levy.  Following the budget hearing the Hurley city council will meet.  Items of interest on the agenda include the transfer of ownership of parcel number 236-0244-0000 to the Hurley Development Group, LLC for potential leasing to Dollar General.  That Parcel is located on Silver Street next to the former Giovanoni’s True Value Hardware Building.  The Council will then go into closed session for competitive bargaining reasons to discuss terms and conditions of the developer’s agreement with United Development Group, LLC / Dollar General.  The Council will also discuss the motel room tax ordinance/tourism commission.  That meeting tonight at 5pm at the Hurley City Hall.
